' Little lies ' are not sufficient to change pattern of obesity in the us. Most people mind when approached on the street to answer the questionnaires on weight, according to a study published in the journal "Ethnicity and Disease". The work also took into account when people were reporting the wrong time, trying to compensate for the weight with a larger stature.
Scientists at the University of Utah, in the United States, analyzed what surveys show about body mass index (BMI) of people. The IMC uses the height and weight of the people to know how much fat they have. Values above 25 indicates overweight and above 30 pointed out obesity (learn your BMI here).

White people tend to lie more on the BMI values than black people or Hispanic descent. But the people of all ethnic groups claim weigh less and be taller than the reality.
The difference caused by the "lies" in the search result is only 1 point of BMI, which is little to change patterns of obesity in American territory, where the study was conducted.
But the error in the information make comparisons between different ethnic groups more difficult. Many researches on health take into account only the information passed by the people since putting them on top of a balance costs time and money.
On the comparison between sexes, white women are altering their real weight to be questioned on the subject. People over 60 years old, obese and people with university education are also more propensar lying in the polls.
The results show that censors must be more careful when comparing obesity data with demographic information, since the ethnic groups may be changing information on the IMC at different rates.
